ARRESTED

1. What should you do if you or a loved one is arrested?

Do not give a statement and contact the Law Offices of Renee Garcia at (714) 309-0639.

2. Should you post bail?

If you can afford bail and an attorney, yes post bail! However, if you cannot afford both, contact the Law Office of Renee Garcia to discuss the specific details of your particular situation so you can make an informed decision where best to spend your money.

3. Should you contact the police or give a statement?

NO! never give the police a statement without first contacting the Law Offices of Renee Garcia. Remember everything you say can and will be used against you. Its not what you meant to say, its how the police write down your statement that counts.

4. I want to get a new job and clean up my record. What can I do?

Contact the Law Offices of Renee Garcia and we can get an old conviction off your record.

 


5. Will I visit someone in jail?

Yes, I will go to the jail and discuss your case with you personally. I am familar wtih all jails in and around Orange County, as well as most prisions.

6. What if I have a co-defendant, can you represent both of us?

Generally, an attorney cannot represent two people charged with the same crime. However, we will refer one of you to an experienced attorney, and we will work with that attorney to zealously represent both of you.

7. If I am cited for a DUI will you represent me in the DMV hearing?

Yes, I represent all clients in their DMV hearings as well as their criminal matters. You only have 10 days to contact the DMV to request a hearing and get a stay of your driver's license suspension. Do not wait until your court hearing, by then it will be too late to do anything about your license! Contact the Law Offices of Renee Garcia right away so we can handle both matters for you. 8. Do you need to appear in court?

If you have a misdemeanor case I can appear in court on your behalf. However, if you have a felony caes you must appear in court with me. I will do all the talking, but you do need to be present for felony matters.
